Jeroen van der Most is an artist and entrepreneur from Amsterdam who comes up with the most unique projects. A little while ago we'd shared his Kunst-Buzz project in which he created portraits using feeds from Twitter.

This time he's come up with another such creative idea where he is making 360 degree paintings using Google Streetview images.

"Traditional street artists paint brick and mortar streets. A 21st century artist paints virtual roads. It's the idea behind paintings-360.com. An artist creates paintings inspired on the streets people show him in virtual versions of their cities," he says.

Here's how it works:

Users can visit his website and using Google Streetview they can guide the artist to a street that carries a special memory for them.

They can leave a short story about what makes that place so special, and that's about it. The artist will then get to work and create a modern (and digital) version of street art.

"It's a new way of integrating art with technology and provides a lot of inspiration for new artworks" he says.

More info about Jeroen's 360 degree paintings:
Both conventional as more experimental painting techniques are used in the 360 degree paintings. Typical is the use of bright colors and spray can parts which gives them a street art feel. Next to that, the paintings quite often show graffiti elements and symbolic animals. Most pieces measure 12 x 8 inches and are painted on wooden panels.
Going through the gallery on his website, one can easily make out that each painting certainly carries a story, and the colors used by him are so vibrant and lively (just like street art) that the paintings would make an excellent addition to a living room or a bedroom.
