YouTube has decided to reward such creative channels who have a subscriber count more than 100,000 and 1 million. "Expect to receive rewards from us when your channel passes major subscriber thresholds. It’s time for us to tip our hats and raise our glasses to you!" shares YouTube.
YouTube intends to reward channels regularly and in the process encourage original content creation on YouTube.
Channels with over 1 million subscribers will receive a 'Gold Play Button' from YouTube, whereas channels with over 100,000 subscribers will receive $500 gift card and HDSLR case.
YouTube has already released a list of channels awarded, 80 channels with more than 1 million subscribers and about 1,400 channels with more than 100,000 subscribers.
"We intend to administer the program on a quarterly basis and rewards will be given out to newly qualified channels several times a year." shares YouTube.
