One of my fondest childhood memory is of the LEGO toy set I owned. I always dreamt of  becoming an architect, thought that I was Bob, the builder of LEGO toys (minus the handy box and helpers). Well, today I'm not an architect or anything of that sort but I am still crazy for LEGO, especially the LEGO sculptures.

Earlier, we had featured the famous photographs in LEGO and music albums covers in LEGO on our blog and this time we again have LEGO related work for you. The world's first LEGO Colosseum.

The LEGO Colosseum made using 200,000 LEGO bricks, is the most amazing LEGO model, I have ever come across. Ryan McNaught who is famously known as the BrickMan for his LEGO work, is the creator of this masterpiece. According to Ryan this model was 'the most technically challenging thing I have ever built' and after making this he has fallen more in love with the Roman and architecture.

This model was made in such a way that half of it shows you how the Colosseum was, when it was built in the 80 AD and how it is in its present day ruined form.

Ryan made the LEGO Colosseum model for the University of Sydney, and you can view it at Nicholson Museum in Melbourne, Australia, until January 2013.
