I am sure, there must have been a moment when you stop and wonder as to what exactly happens after you hit the 'send' button for an email. I mean, literally what happens to that message?

Google has recently created a website called 'Story of Send' that shows the users the basic 'behind-the-scenes' to describe how emails work on Gmail.

It explains how the email goes through scanning for viruses, and filtration for spam.
