In the previous article “How To Automate Your Call Centre Job”, I wanted to get across that with enough leads on auto-pilot you can make sales, so long as your sales process is automated, it could be a “set and forget” situation, where you check your cash flow and sales and leave the rest to technology to sort out!.
Many people get hung up on traffic and are concerned they don’t have enough. The other trap to fall into, is thinking that you can skip the low traffic days and go straight to high traffic, with no foundations in place. That is possible but it will probably cost a lot in advertising.
In this article I wanted to get across how to get 100 visitors a day with no money being spent. At first I was going to talk about tactics and keyword structure, how to rank for search terms on Google and how to get high views on YouTube, but the truth is the tactics only work once you have given away value first, Google will only rank top websites for top search terms, so your best bet is to look at these 5 strategies for a core traffic base:
1. Build 1 hour’s worth of content: This maybe with blog posts, videos, podcasts or even photographs and illustrations!. What you’re looking to do, is build enough content so that if a new visitor hits your website, you have enough their to keep them busy for 1 whole hour!. The whole point of this is that if a visitor stays for a while to consume your stuff, your logo and brand will become memorable and they are more likely to bookmark and connect with you, remember your not after a sale on the first visit, just their initial attention.
2. Get busy on social networks: If you have cool photos and content on your website, there is no harm in posting the same stuff on Twitter & Facebook. Drip feeding your sites content to the social pages will build a following over time and social pages that are written up properly are starting to rank well on Google.
3. Reach out to website owners: Once you are at the stage of an hour’s worth of content, you now have bait. Start tweeting to similar websites to yours, don’t even mention your stuff. Read and consume their stuff and show an interest. If you have set everything up properly they will check your work out and most of the time they will not even mention that they have, it all counts to build presence and over time you’ll have the confidence and stats to show that people do keep an eye on your site.
4. Have a Skype Team: Facebook & Twitter are great for networking but they are better for building lots of “on the surface” interactions. To ensure you are getting somewhere you need to be in touch on Skype with 5 website owners. People that mean business and have the stats to back themselves up!. From my experience you need to attend seminars and events to get hold of these people. Usually they are not the ones listening to the speaker on stage but are chilling in the bar after the event.
5. Guest Post Hustle: I’ve managed to have 25 guest posts published all around the world. It’s pretty cool to know thousands of people have read my stuff and the long term benefit is that the sites that link to me are getting very strong indeed, which makes the link like gold-dust!.
If you follow those 5 steps, you will be well on your way to hitting 100 visitors a day. The magic bit is when you get creative and see some of your work get shared, then you’ll attract not only more visitors, but a higher quality visitor that will leave a comment and dare I say it, want to give you money!

I really like the "hour" analogy in the first tip!
