Who isn’t writing blogs these days? Everyone and anyone, from you next door neighbor to the conglomerate business marketing executive to… a pissed off employee? Yes, this newest blog fad is called anonymous blogging. In an economic climate when college graduates are in debt over their head, and tenured college professors are taking jobs at the local diner, it’s no surprise that people are taking to the Internet to vent.

When you’ve had a bad day, bad week, hell, a bad year, there are some medically suggested ways to release your pent up rage. While more traditional methods include walking, jogging, or talking to a friend, modern technology has provided us with an even more satisfying way.  Writing has always been a suggested method to constructively handle frustrations, but blogging has rarely been the medium.

Anonyme.com, an upcoming anonymous blog host website, describes the benefits of anonymous blogging as, “In today’s society, judgments can be put on people for their opinions, their beliefs, and what they say.  With anonymous blogging, the writer doesn’t have the worry of someone seeing what they write and having it affect them negatively.”

So, whether you need to scream out industry injustices, co-worker frustrations or just plain complain, you can be sure to avoid judgment or backlash. Check out these anonymous work blogs. Perhaps you’ll be inspired, maybe sympathetic or just plain amused.

The Anonymous Production Assistant: These hysterical posts highlight the instability of being a production assistant, dealing with stuck up Hollywood types and on set drama. This makes for an amusing read.

Waiter Rant: One of the most popular anonymous blogs about a medical school graduate who ended up in the food service industry for 14 years, has been since turned into a book. Anyone who has worked in the food industry can empathize with his frustrations on tipping, rude customers and back of the house drama. Check out his earlier posts, as many of the newer ones focus on his new-found literary success.

The Magistrate: Between the hilarious English prose and interesting view point of a UK judge, this anonymous work blog is one worth checking out.  You’ll see the courtroom and intricacies of the law from the mind of someone who’s tied up in it all.

Militant Medical Nurse: The medical world has always been a source of scandal and drama. Get the point of view of someone who’s in the thick of it day in and day out. You’ll find this one to be very interesting.

Thoughts From An Anonymous Lawyer: I deem this blog to be the most interesting. Though the posts are infrequent, there are clear connections to our stereotypes of the life and money of a big-time lawyer and the human under the suit.

Anonymous work blogs, while often times humorous, offer brief insights into a world we may judge from the outside. Some blog ranters may even be complaining about someone just like you. Whether you read them for a good chuckle, or use them to vent about bad tippers, anonymous work blogs give us a way to get it all out, at a time when there is every reason to need it.
