The graphic designer behind Glennz Tees is Glenn Jones who is based in Auckland, New Zealand. Before Glenn was using Threadless as a platform to showcase his designs. But, due to his great fan following, he is now rocking at Glennz Tees.
His designs are clever and definitely makes you laugh. Besides tees, it has some funny mousepads, calenders, laptop skins and gift certificates. Glenn, please introduce yourself to E-junkies. Tell us a bit about your background as a designer.
Hello! I'm Glenn Jones, a freelance graphic designer and illustrator from Auckland, New Zealand. I worked as an employed graphic designer for about 16 years ending up as a Creative Director before moving on to focus on my T-shirts.

Tell us about the inception of 'Glennz Tees'. What inspired you to start your company?
I had been participating on Threadless in my spare time, but as I gained more success on there I started getting a lot of inquiries about starting my own line of shirts. It wasn't something I considered at the start but after doing some freelance work for Despair.com in Austin Texas, I became friendly with the guys there. They were set up to take care of printing and fulfillment through their sister company Amplifier.com so we eventually started Glennz Tees together.

Your tees designs are just awesome and I'm sure you are not hearing this for the first time! What tickles your creative side?
I like taking Identifiable/everyday objects and characters and putting my own spin on them.

Glennz Tees is a huge name now! It has so many zealous fans and followers. What do you think is the main reason behind it?
I guess its a number of factors, we've tried to focus on constantly growing the business and create a quality product. Its not just about the design, its the quality of printing, customer service etc.
What do you enjoy the most in this whole process of designing tees?
After working for a long time in a world of clients and specifications, I now enjoy just having total creative control over what I want to do.

What are your views on social media as a promotional tool? How does is contribute in establishing a brand name?
For us its the most important element in getting our brand out there - Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, they all contribute in exposing our work.
Do have any favorite design(s)?
Not really, I think every time I draw something new it becomes my new favorite for a while.

Would you like to share some cherished moment(s) with Glennz tees?
There's been lots, I think a highlight for me was being at our Pop Up Shop for SXSW this year http://www.flickr.com/photos/glennztees/sets/72157626130228047/. I got to meet a lot of internet contacts and fans, and was great to watch the reaction people have to my work. It was a pretty cool feeling.
What are the other things that interests you?
I like sport, more so watching it rather than playing these days, food, travel, but I really enjoy just sitting down and drawing.
