Twitter is the only social networking site where I can spend hours and hours and not feel guilty of being unproductive. There is so much to discover, so much to learn and so much to share.
Try looking for a how-to article on Twitter and you will be bombarded with tons and tons of write-ups telling you more or less the same thing. Try looking third-party apps for Twitter, and you'll be overwhelmed with the amount of options you have. There is so much that one can do with this 140-character micro-blogging site, so I figured why not check out some highly unproductive apps that have been created for Twitter, some of them are simply for killing some time, while some of them are ridiculously funny yet entertaining.
So check 'em out and save them for those days when you feel like whiling away some time:
When Do They Sleep?
An app created to analyse sleeping patterns of your friends on Twitter on the basis of their most active time online. It determines the sleeping pattern on the basis of last 100-200 tweets by your friend...and is freakingly correct (provided your time zone is correctly set-up on Twitter).
The Print Effect
An app that tells you how much it would take to print your entire timeline on Twitter. All you have to do is type in the the username and it will give you stats like how many pages would it cover, the amount of ink, cost, weight in terms of badgers, and stuff like how many babies would have been born during that time.
Die Fail Whale
That fail whale has deprived many Twitter addicts of their craving and this app is a fun way for some pay back time. "Shoot as many frakin' fail whales as you can in 25 seconds!" it says. I must add, its sadistically entertaining. ;)
Secret Tweet
Most of Twitter users I know prefer speaking their mind upfront, I guess thats the whole point of this site...to let the world know of what one feels and prefers. Since most of the people I know are strangers, and I really don't care if they'll judge me on the basis of my tweets, but for those who like to say things that they can't even dream of saying out loud can let go of their inhibitions through this app.
Cursebird
The intention of this app is forth right and simple: "What the f#@! is everyone swearing about on Twitter?". Not only does it show you all those tweets with all kinds of bad words, but also give you exact number of swears by a user. When I typed in E-junkie, it seems that "E-junkie swears like a mute" and quite right so. :)

With this I wrap up some of the top unproductively entertaining apps for Twitter, although there are plenty of them out there, but i guess I can't bring myself to be that unproductive.
