Austin Kleon's poetry requires a permanent marker and The New York Times, he eliminates the words he doesn't like and creates Newspaper Blackout Poetry. A project that is the result of Austin's writer's block who turned to a stack of newspapers thinking "I might not have any words, but right there next to me are millions of them."
When he posted his newspaper poetry on the internet, it spread like wild fire and his project turned into a book. "I'm fascinated by the possibilities of being online, and I'm always thinking about how to use the web as a medium to make things happen." he says.
One of my personal favorites is "Creativity is subtraction" and instead of poetry Austin likes to call it "Rallying Cry".
