Mozilla launched Firefox's latest version on Tuesday and within 24 hours Firefox proved itself to be one of the most popular and loved browsing software. In US Microsoft's Internet Explorer is the most widely used browser followed by Firefox and Chrome. Even on our blog, maximum number of readers use Internet Explorer, with Firefox on number two and Chrome on three. But this time Firefox has left Internet Explorer 9 behind by beating its record of 2.5 million downloads within first day of its launch...intensifying the browser war further.

Here's an overview of the latest features introduced in this brand new version of Firefox that is downloadable for free and is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux:

Its Faster: Firefox has always been a developer's favorite, and this latest version is all set to make things a lot faster; thanks to its new JagerMonkey JavaScript engine. When the browser gets reloaded, it immediately recognizes the first active page and focuses on boosting loading speed for that particular page and subsequently shifting its focus on the remaining tabs.

Its Less Cumbersome: There were two major factors that pushed me to start using Chrome more often than I use Firefox. One of them being the fact the previous Firefox version took a whole space around the address bar,  whereas its new avatar has tabs placed on the top (very much like Chrome). The second reason is that Chrome is intuitive and automatically presents a previously visited URL in the address bar by typing its first one or two characters of the URL; from now on Firefox carries this feature too.

Panorma: This was originally an add-on for Firefox, but since its such a beautiful feature that it had to be in the browsers default settings. What it does is that it allows you to organize that huge clutter of tabs in the browser; an intuitive feature that lets you manage tabs that belong to a certain group or are usually clubbed together and name that group for future reference.

Do Not Track: There are many sites, especially the ones that involves advertisements track a user's online behavior but now you can choose to switch off that button that sends your data to unknown sites. Mozilla seems to be quite excited to see reactions on this feature, since it is bound to raise some questions or worries, mostly for websites that track such data.

Private Browsing: Chrome has a feature calles 'Incognito that lets you browse privately and not leaving any tracks in browser's history. But now Firefox users can enjoy this feature as well.

Sync: This feature gives a much needed edge to Firefox that lets you sync all your passwords, settings, bookmarks and even open tabs in any device that has Firefox in it. This feature has been incorporated keeping smart phone users in mind who can experience a much convenient way of browsing on-the-go.
