Blogger is one of the oldest blogging platform and not to mention one of the most popular one too. Although many consider it to be inferior than WordPress, mostly because bloggers love the features offered by WordPress. Having said that, Blogger too has a huge fan following...and very loyal too.

In order to keep things this way Blogger introduced quite a few new features last year like static pages, real-time stats, comment spam filtering, new template designer etc, and this year they plan to overhaul the interface entirely. Blogger likes to call it 'next-generation user interface'.

Currently Blogger has released a sneak peak of some of the features that will be introduced through out this year, some of them are:

Brand New Post Editor

Blogger has made some changes in its post editor earlier, but this brand new editor sure looks awesome:

Other than this Google promises that the new design will be modern, clean and intuitive interface, and will carry latest web technology since it will powered by Google Web Toolkit.

"These are just a couple of new features we want to share with you. We look forward to unveiling more throughout 2011!" announces Blogger's Product Manager, Chang Kim.

It all sure looks promising and exciting, but its still unclear as to when exactly Google plans to roll out these latest features.
