According to Graham Wallas, creativity consists of 5 stages: Preperation, Incubation (in the unconscious mind), Intimation (that creative feeling), Illumination (in the conscious mind) and finally Verification (elaboration and application). There are many who have come up with the most insane creative ideas, but aren't even aware of the whole process involved in it, while on the other hand...there are many who are aware what it takes to be creative but can't get those creative juices flowing. It's a very tricky business.
Not that these blogs guarantee to to stir up your creative juices, but they do highlight some interesting points on how you can channel your mind to experience that 'aha' moment and also present other creative ideas that are inspiring and can perhaps trigger a tiny spark in your brain.

This is a great post. Very Inspiring. I loved learning about new creative sites and visiting their spaces. Also enjoyed the recap by Graham Wallas. There are so many stages we enter consciously and unconsciously as artists that sometimes it's so automatic we can be amazed and wonder how the heck did "THAT" show up on my blank page! Where did "IT" come from. I know that's how I felt when creating a still life called
Awake Butterfly: emerging from the cocoon of fear. Other times we deny our creativity because we're to busy entertaining fear. When working with creatives, I witness fear being the only thing that keeps inspiration from inspiring and making those inner ideas come true. I believe the best advice that has ever been given to artists is by Van Gogh. He says the following: IF YOU HEAR A VOICE WITHIN YOU SAYING, 'YOU ARE NOT A PAINTER,' THEN BY ALL MEANS PAINT AND THAT VOICE WILL BE SILENCED.~ VINCENT VAN GOGH
