Sammy, a video editor for NASCAR and Nicole, a dental hygienist are two dog lovers realized that there's something missing in current pet products and hence decided to launch an innovative product called Ruff Bowl - a portable water dish and poop-bag carrier.

"Ruff Bowl was born out of necessity and it is the product of two dog lovers: Nicole and Sammy Lopez." they say.

Ruff Bowl is a plastic travel bowl that can be attached to a leash and used in two ways: as a poop-bag holder when it is clipped on to the leash and as a water bowl when detached from the leash.

"Ruff Bowl is the convenient way to have a travel water bowl while at the same time having a hands-free way of carrying your dog's used poop bags. These two features are very handy when hiking, at the dog park and even just walking around the neighborhood. And the best part is that it conveniently clips onto most large retractable leashes. Ruff Bowl will be available in blue, red, green and pink colors.

Our goal is to create something convenient, simple and well designed. We love the thought that it is possible for two average dog lovers to have an idea and turn it into a reality without a big company. We believe in the rising power of community, individuals and social media to bring ideas to life."

Ruff Bowls is currently running a campaign on Kickstarter, asking for help in order to get this project going.

"So why did we start a Kickstarter campaign? We 'really' need 'your' help! Manufacturing any product is expensive and injection molding is 'really' expensive. In order to manufacture the Ruff Bowl with the highest quality we need a little Kickstart to turn our little project into a reality."

Kickstarter is website that helps aspiring entrepreneurs like Sammy and Nicole turn their dream project into reality by providing a platform where they can explain their latest idea and ask others to 'back their project' by taking a pledge of minimum $5. Sammy and Nicole's goal is to raise atleast $12,000 by March 19th and we wish them all the best for their creative and offbeat product.
