Paolo Conti, an entrepreneur and a writer was sitting in a restaurant waiting for his friend to join him for dinner, while waiting he noticed that there was a white placemat on the table. At that point he dearly missed reading a newspaper to while away time and thats when he came up with the idea of placemat newspaper that printed daily news and short features.

Soon Paolo realized that he keeps coming up with unique and witty ideas but couldn't implement all of them, therefore he wanted a platform where people can share their creative ideas, specially those who were unable to it themselves. As a result, 'Too Lazy To Do It' was born and he calls it "a global sharing of creativity and innovation."

"Just about everybody he met had creative idea or two that they thought would make a killer business. They were just too busy, too scared or simply too lazy to give it a try." describes his website. Initially, Paolo shared all his ideas through a regular blog, slowly and gradually people started participating and sharing their own ideas; now the site has a large community with people from all corners of the world sharing, learning and hopefully implementing creative business ideas.

"We do not sell ideas, we give them as gifts." is how the website puts it.

"If somebody has put a successful idea into practice in New Delhi, then somebody else can do it again in Stockholm, Beijing or San Fransisco." is how Paolo puts it.

They have an interesting segment called 'Tiny Business Plans', there are few ideas that the website chooses as their favorites and creates a small business plan that can help that idea come into shape. "If we really like the idea you send in, we may even write a Tiny Business Plan for it." they say.

In order to participate in the website, one has to register as a part of the community, once done they can share their idea through the field provided in the homepage of the site. These ideas are then reviewed by the admin and published on the site within few hours after removing self-promotional or publicity entries.

When one comes across a website like this people often wonder: 'why give away my idea for free and let others steal it?' To this the website responds by saying that, "It's not possible to steal ideas on Too Lazy To Do It: they are all free. It's a place to put ideas that you want to see realized, or replicated, by others; or ideas for which you want to find collaborators. For many it's above all a place to find inspiration for their own creativity."

They have recently published a book 'Too Lazy To Do It' which has 44 innovative, royalty free business ideas. Click here to learn more about the book.
