There aren't many people who grow up with the dream of working in a farm. Most of us imagine ourselves sitting in a posh office with a wonderful view, comfy chair, and stable pay check.

Ironically, all those who do find themselves living that dream and experiencing typical city corporate life end up fantasizing working in a farm close to nature and themselves. Sitting in that posh office, looking at an excel sheet we find ourselves drifting away from this lifestyle and an urge to do something fulfilling and satisfying triggers the need to find an escape route. This where escapethecity.org comes in to the picture that aims at 'liberating talented people from corporate jobs that don't excite them.'

Two former management consultants, Dom Jackman and Rob Symington asked themselves just one question "What else could I be doing with my life other than living for the weekend?" and when they both realized that they share similar sentiments about their jobs and the fact they both find their corporate 'city life' frustrating and empty, they figured that they might not be the only ones who feel this way. Therefore, with the mission of helping their fellow corporate professionals they launched 'escapethecity.org'.

According to a survey conducted by Dom and Rob, around 70% of corporate professionals don't find their current jobs interesting and 57% are looking to move within a year; staggering stats like this convinced Dom and Rob to start a community to help such individuals and provide them a platform that can help them escape the ordeal of living a unsatisfying passionless life.

"Our objective is to build and maintain a platform that connects these ambitious and talented people with exciting career changes, innovative business start-ups and epic adventures" says the site.

The site provides you inspiration through right information and motivation through right suggestion. They also post various job opportunities to choose from apart from advising right books to read. Go through various stories of individuals and business start-ups get that fire going within you.
