Google has so many features in their applications and tools, that when they come up with a new one many end up asking that...'didn't they already have that?'

Well, they didn't but now they do. The latest feature added by search engine giant in Google Docs is the ability to drag and drop images directly from your desktop, provided you are using the latest version of Chrome, Safari or Firefox.

Although it is a petty upgrade, but if you are an avid Google Docs user, then you will be thankful 'coz now you won't have to make an effort to upload an image from your hard disk or insert image using URLs, making the whole process much more convenient.

Not too long ago a similar feature was introduced in Gmail allowing you to drag and drop images into chats and new messages.

It is possible that the latest version for Google Docs has not been activated in your account. In that case, all you have to do is visit your Document's settings, click on Editing and tick the checkbox for 'New version of Google Documents".
