Twitoaster is a web application for Twitter that tracks and provides real time conversations. It basically finds all replies and retweets and provides a threaded conversation making it easier for bloggers, marketers, companies or journalists to find discussions pertaining to a particular tweet.

Twitoaster was founded by Arnaud Meunier in 2009, who created this application from his apartment in Paris and is currently working with Twitter Inc. When David Pogue, New York Times columnist used this application for his book where he wanted to collaborate his follower's retweets, Twitoaster gained lot of popularity and received appreciation.

"Most of them use Twitoaster to manage their replies and be sure they won't miss anything. Some of them are also using it to know what day of the week. or time of the day, produce most replies. Others use it as a CRM, a survey/poll tool, or directly as their main twitter client..." explains Twitoaster.

You log in Twitoaster through oAuth, therefore you need not give in your password to this third party application, thereafter it will archive and index all conversations for you to see and respond accordingly. It also shows statistics like how many replies a user receives at what time of the day or what day of the week, enabling user's to analyze and implement Twitter strategy accordingly.

"The greater the detail, the more opportunities Twitoaster users will have to optimize their engagement metrics" believes readwriteweb.com.

A free tool that can turn out to be very useful for many users who like to keep a close tab on conversations on Twitter, particularly for finding and resolving customer queries or managing marketing campaigns.
