Gmail's latest priority inbox is now available for everyone, including Google application users.
If you wish to activate this service, click on the 'Get New Priority Inbox' button on top right on your Gmail homepage, next to 'settings' button.
Once you activate it, you will see that Gmail automatically segregates you emails into 'important and unread', 'starred' and 'everything else'. But how useful is this new feature for you?
If you are one of those who receives plethora of emails and find it difficult to manage them or 'prioritize' them, then this is a perfect solution for you. We recommend that you try to get accustomed to this new version, because as when you add importance, or star a particular email Gmail's algorithm will start recognizing the relevance of keywords, user behavior or communication frequency, and with time it will bring better results for 'you'.
On the other hand, if you are one of those users who has an habit of getting rid of 'unread' mails as soon as possible or do not get too many mails, then this new feature is not much of use for you and you may find it too be quiet distracting. So, if you wish to you can have both options of normal 'inbox' or 'priority inbox' in your homepage, alternatively you can disable this function from 'settings' button under which you will see 'priority inbox' section and click on 'Do not show priority inbox' button.
