Facebook is undoubtedly one of the best platform for marketing and interacting with your current and future customers. Therefore we'd compiled a list of 10 very useful applications for your Facebook page; Static FBML (Facebook Markup Language) was one such very useful application that allows you to add a tab in your Facebook page which can be customized using HTML or CSS.

Pagemodo is a free service that allows you to design your own unique tab. It provides you with layouts, and lets you customize pictures, fonts, colors, background, text box design and provides three boxes for description and headlines. Currently they have only 'Welcome' and 'About Us' templates, but since they are relatively new we hope that they will be introducing other options as well.
Here's how it works:
- Sign up with the pagemodo and connect with Facebook by providing necessary details.
- Decide if you want a 'welcome' tab or an 'about us' tab.
- You will be taken to pagebuilder where you will see a template and have to add pictures, headlines, description and customize other display features.
- You can also add a "Footer" to your page, which is a paid feature and is currently discounted for early birds.
- Once you add the details you simply need to install it on your Facebook page.
Advantage
It is often advisable to have "Welcome" tab as the landing page for your Facebook fans because this is the first page that people will see and you can easily let people know about your business through images and brief descriptions. You can change fonts, colors or text in accordance to your company and create a brand image. You can make it as interesting as you please and attract more fans to your Facebook Page.
All this and without any knowledge of programming or graphics will sure answers prayers for many non-so-technical business owners out there. As per the site they are planning on introducing "Branded Facebook Games" as well.

I was trying to find a welcome (landing) page for FB. I started with wix.com and it took quite a while to build a page and I wasn't sure how it was going to work with facebook so I started reading reviews on wix and found out that the loading speed was terrible and so was the customer service. The more I read reviews, the more I was convinced that pagemodo was the way to go. It's not very fancy, but proffessional looking. Very simple...I would reccomend it. My page is for my Shaklee business geared towards heath and wellness. They didn't have many templates to choose from and if you want to include videos you have to upgrade to a paid page, but they had a good selection for realtors or those wanting to display a lot of photos. All in all, I am very happy with it.
