For the past few weeks all that we have been hearing about is wearable technology; the Google Glass, iWatch and now the Google's latest invention - the Talking Shoe.

Google unveiled the Talking Shoe at the SXSW 2013 conference this past weekend.

Well, before you guys jump to the conclusion that the search-engine giant is now entering the footwear territory, let me make one thing clear - this Talking Shoe is just an experiment.

The Talking Shoe was designed to highlight Google's new advertising platform Art Copy&Code and to design this Adidas sneaker it partnered with artist Zach Lieberman and YesYesNo.

This Talking Shoe is like the Siri of shoes, it can tell what the wearer is doing or is not and shares it directly on the internet, if the wearer wants so. Inside the shoe is a small computer, an accelerometer, a gyroscope and Bluetooth which translates the wearer's activity or movement into funny, motivating and timely commentary.

The wearer can, not only share his activity on the internet but he can also broadcast it via the on-board speakers with the world as he is doing it. You can even share your activity on your various social networking websites and your friends can like and comment on it.

According to Aman Govil, lead of the advertising arts team, told the ABC News, "The Talking Shoe is an experiment in how you can use connected objects to tell stories on the Web today. If you put what the shoe knows through an algorithmic logic engine, it can translate it into copy. Now if you give that copy to an interesting copy writer, you could give the shoe personality. One shoe could be the trash-talking shoe. We're not getting into the shoe business. We are in the social network and advertising business."

Imagine, you're wearing these shoes and running a marathon, you can share everything that you're doing, things that you come across and your thoughts with your friends. Sounds like fun, right?

Sad, that this shoe is just an experiment, otherwise this could have been the the next best thing after the Google Glass.

Haha, Arnel! That's quite a profound expression of surprise and tech weariness you show. Guess Google's got a fertile imagination that is manifesting in creation such as these.
