When it comes to printers, we've featured some of the most innovative printers available online, from LEGO printer to a printer that prints typographic foam clouds, and not to forget the adorable BERG printer.

And today we have something for all the chocolate geeks out there. World's very first 3D chocolate printer called Choc Creator, developed by Dr. Liang Hao, founder of Choc Edge, a company that thrives to revolutionize chocolate making.

Using its amazing technology, one can create custom designs for chocolates, Choc Creator can print out layer by layer 3D shapes without using any kinds of molds. "You just need to melt some chocolate, fill a syringe that is stored in the printer, and get creative printing your chocolate." explains Dr. Hao.

"Choc Creator utilizes an easy-to-use syringe based chocolate deposition head which allows users to rapidly install and remove syringe head units. The design enables users to refill the syringe with fresh chocolate or different types of chocolates conveniently. Key features of Choc Creator are simplicity, versatility, flexibility, and reliability."
If you are considering buying this printer, you will have to shell out quite a chunk of money. The printer is priced at £2,888, visit this page for more information and check out the videos below to see how the printer works:

Oh dear, at that price you'd have to have a small business already up and running to justify buying such a cool piece of machinery *runs off to set up chocolate mini business

Rightly said, but not sure how many small businesses can actually utilize it, 'coz it seems a bit slow, and businesses don't have that much time for each chocolate.

That's Quite cheap for a chocolate printer, I have just been looking at another and it costs $4000 and is not as advanced as this one.

Although the current issue is speed, the improvement rate of many of the open-source 3D printers, and the reduction in price could make a small business providing a bespoke chocolate service, with 2 or 3 printers going viable in the near future. If a service of the type that Sculpteo (already experimenting on a commercial machine to make macarons) or Shapeways provide, anyone able to design a chocolate can upload, have printed and delivered, gift wrapped!
