GreenBottle is a UK based company which creates paper milk bottles with a little bit of plastic mixed. These bottles are recyclable and gets bio-degraded in just 12 weeks. GreenBottle is made of two parts: a tough paper outer shell and an inner liner made of plastic which keeps the milk fresh and stabilize it. The paper used in outer shell is 100% compostable and breaks down naturally.

GreenBottle was founded in 2006 and in 2007, it won Best Green Packaging Design Award at GREEN AWARDS. It has proven to be a great success so far. And thus, the company is soon going to launch paper wine bottles. The idea is to create packaging that is biodegradable as well as cheaper. It is also believed that UK is running out of landfill space and green products will be the supreme need within 7 years.

By next year, UK will see the launch of World's first paper wine bottle.























As compared to a glass bottle weighing 500g, this paper bottle weighs just 55g; thus, a major deduction in transportation cost.





























GreenBottle's products are manufactured in Turkey presently. The plant produces 50 milk bottles per minute and is patent protected. But it is claimed that the technology is soon to be sold to other companies as well.
