When I overheard someone saying that Google.com is down, my first instinct was to 'Google it'. :P Sadly I had to turn to Twitter for answers.

Yes - many people including me are getting this 502 error. And if you're not among those, then you're really missing this rare of a kind event to see Google's outage.

It is reported by users that Google services like Google.com, YouTube, Blogger and Gmail (specifically Gmail chat and search) are down from last 40 minutes. Many a times before, Google users have encountered '502 error' problem but this seems to be the very first time when Google services are affected. When I checked out Twitter to see people's loyalty for Google I got some really interesting tweets. Update: The problem is resolved now...but we did get a glimpse of this world without Google. It ain't pretty!
